Niki's Journey

Niki Canotas didn't start in agriculture. But over the past 13+ years, she's built Mike & Niki's from the ground up. Greek and Czech heritage. Woman-owned. CEO of everything: production, sales, marketing, IT, shipping, HR. And she does it all from Campbell, where she refuses to relocate the hives or abandon the community that raised her.

She's also the President of the Santa Clara Bee Guild – proof that she's serious about the craft, not just the business.

Mike Does the Beekeeping

Make no mistake: this is NOT a one-person operation. Mike does all the beekeeping. He manages 30+ apiaries across the Bay Area – from the coast to the foothills. That's decades of knowledge, of knowing which apiaries produce what pollen, of understanding the rhythm of the seasons and the bees.

We've invested $2M+ over 13 years into this company. We're fully licensed, insured, and compliant. We pay overtime. We have workers comp. We're not hobbyists playing at farming. We're a professional operation in an industry where most small producers can't survive.

We partner with Hope Services and Special Kneads and Treats, supporting community inclusion for individuals with developmental disabilities through our production work. It's part of who we are.
