Book a Beekeeping Experience

Suit up. Open a real hive. Pull honey with your own hands.

A private, hands-on visit to a working apiary in the South Bay. Not a show, not a petting zoo — real bees, a real hive, your own hands in it. Mike runs the bees. Niki tells the story. Every booking is just your group.

See the magic happen

Guest holding a frame at the Beekeeping Experience

Real guests. Real hives. Real honey, pulled by hand.

Your Visit, Step by Step

  1. Sign your waiver — online, in advance, one signature covers your whole group.
  2. Safety talk — what the bees do, what we do, why it works.
  3. Suit up — giggles guaranteed.
  4. Practice on empty hives first — no bees, just getting comfortable.
  5. Ease into a real, working hive — at your own pace. Every step is a victory.
  6. Pull honey straight from the frame.
  7. Taste it warm — right there, right off the comb.
  8. Sit down for the full tasting, our chilled honey water, and all your questions.

We film the whole visit on tripods, and you take your own selfies holding the frame and the smoker — plus a group shot. The magic of bees. Memories that last a lifetime.

What to Wear, What to Know

  • Closed-toe shoes — Crocs don't count.
  • Jeans, not thin leggings or yoga pants — you'll be comfortable under the suit.
  • Skip the perfume.
  • We suit you up — sizes S–XL in stock. We'll ask everyone's size when we confirm your date; tell us early so we can fit your whole group.
  • It's a working farm — no restroom on site, so plan ahead.
  • Yes, stings are possible, just in case. We run a safety talk, full suits, and practice on empty hives before anyone approaches a live one — and we pace every guest.

Where

We're in the Campbell / Santa Clara / San Jose area — a working apiary, not a storefront. Exact directions go out the morning of your visit, since the site can shift depending on the bees and the weather.

What Guests Say

Good to Know

  • Reschedule free 72+ hours out. Full refund if you cancel 96+ hours (4 days) out.
  • Bad weather always gets a free reschedule — we push to move your date first.
  • Your photos and video are delivered within 3–4 weeks — worth the wait. We're a small crew of real beekeepers, and the bees come first.
