What Our Customers Say

Stonyford honey – from the remote ranching country of Colusa County in California's Coast Range. Our bees forage in one of the least developed areas in our range, producing honey shaped by wild, open landscapes.

What Makes Stonyford Honey Special

Stonyford sits in the western foothills of the Sacramento Valley, surrounded by Bureau of Land Management land, cattle ranches, and wild grasslands. There's very little development and almost no commercial agriculture – just native wildflowers, manzanita, chamise, and blue oak woodlands. The honey reflects that wildness.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Stonyford?

Stonyford is a small unincorporated community in Colusa County, about 150 miles north of the Bay Area. It's in the eastern foothills of the Coast Range, surrounded by the Mendocino National Forest.

Why honey from so far away?

Mike maintains apiaries across a wide range of California locations to capture different terroirs. Stonyford's wild, undeveloped landscape produces honey that's genuinely different from anything we can get in the urban Bay Area. Variety is what makes our collection special.

Discover Stonyford

Stonyford is the gateway to East Park Reservoir (fishing, camping), the Mendocino National Forest, and some of the most remote backcountry in Northern California. It's real ranch country – the kind of place where you don't see another car for miles. That isolation is exactly what makes the honey exceptional.
