Local Honey for Allergy Season
Raw honey, bee pollen & propolis – from our Bay Area hives to your spoon. The same neighborhood flowers that are in the spring air, on your side this time.
Shop Allergy Relief →Thousands of Bay Area residents swear by a simple daily ritual: one teaspoon of local raw honey, every morning, starting 4–6 weeks before allergy season peaks. The theory? Small amounts of local pollen in raw honey may help your immune system build tolerance naturally.
Start Here – The Allergy Trio
Three ways to get local pollen into your daily routine. All Bay Area. All raw. Nothing imported, filtered, irradiated, or pasteurized.
Why Local Matters
Grocery store honey is pasteurized at 160°F+ and ultra-filtered – stripping out the very pollen that makes local honey valuable for allergy support. Our honey is 100% raw, unfiltered, and harvested from 30+ apiaries across Santa Clara Valley, the Peninsula, and coastal California. Every jar is a pollen snapshot of your actual neighborhood.
Find Your Neighborhood Honey
The closer the honey is to where you live, the more relevant the pollen profile. We produce 92 distinct varieties from neighborhoods across the Bay Area:
- South Bay: Campbell, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, San Jose, Mountain View, Los Altos, Cupertino, Saratoga, Los Gatos
- Peninsula: Redwood City
- Coast: Half Moon Bay, Año Nuevo
- East Bay: Livermore/Fremont
- North Bay: Carneros

The Allergy Pre-Game Protocol
- Start early. Begin 4–6 weeks before your worst allergy months (typically March–May in the Bay Area).
- Go local. Choose the honey closest to your zip code.
- Stay consistent. One teaspoon daily, straight or in warm (not hot) water or tea.
- Be patient. Most customers report noticeable improvement after 2–4 weeks of daily use.
Questions Folks Ask
Does local honey help with allergies?
Folks have kept a daily spoonful of local honey and pollen as a seasonal ritual for generations – from the same local flowers in the air. We make no medical claims; we just keep it local, raw, and honest.
What's the difference between bee pollen and propolis?
Pollen is the protein-rich powder bees gather from flowers – their food. Propolis is the resin bees make from tree sap – the hive's defense system.
Is your honey raw?
Yes. Even our creamed honey is raw – never heated or pasteurized, just crystallized fine and slow until it's smooth and spread-able.
Where does it come from?
Our own apiaries across Silicon Valley and coastal California. Same beekeeper, same hives, hive-to-spoon – nothing imported.
Are bee products safe for everyone?
For most adults, yes. If you have a bee-sting or pollen allergy, start with a very small amount and check with your doctor. Never give honey to children under 12 months.
