By signing below, I acknowledge and agree to the following on behalf of myself AND any child(ren) listed in Section 2, with respect to whichever experience(s) I selected above:

1. Nature of Activity. I am voluntarily participating (and allowing my child(ren) to participate) in a Bee Experience operated by Mike & Niki's Honey Company ("MNHCo"), which depending on the option(s) selected above may include: (A) an Onsite Lecture / Observation – observing live honey bee colonies from a safe distance, a teaching hive, and a honey tasting, with no bee handling; and/or (B) a Full Suited Hands-On Experience – wearing protective equipment (bee suit, gloves, veil), entering an active bee yard, and handling live frames of honey bees in direct proximity to open hive colonies.
2. Inherent Risks. I understand these activities carry inherent risks including but not limited to: bee stings (possible while observing and LIKELY while handling live bees), multiple stings, stings through or around protective equipment, allergic reactions including anaphylaxis, allergic reaction to honey or bee products during tasting, slips, trips, falls on uneven terrain, heat-related illness from wearing protective suits, and contact with beekeeping equipment. These risks cannot be fully eliminated regardless of precautions taken, including the use of protective equipment.
3. Assumption of Risk. I voluntarily assume all risks of injury, illness, or death – for myself and any child(ren) listed – that may result from participation, whether caused by the negligence of any of the Released Parties (named in Paragraph 4 below) or otherwise.
4. Release, Hold Harmless & Indemnify. I, on behalf of myself, any child(ren) listed in Section 2, and our respective heirs, executors, and assigns, hereby release, hold harmless, indemnify, waive, and forever discharge the following parties (collectively, the "Released Parties"): (a) Mike & Niki's Honey Company, its owners Michael and Thessaloniki Canotas, and its employees, agents, representatives, and volunteers; (b) the City of Sunnyvale, including its Mayor, City Council members, officers, directors, employees, agents, and volunteers; (c) the Sunnyvale Community Center, including its Director, employees, and agents; (d) the City of Mountain View, including its elected officials, officers, employees, and agents; and (e) Olson's Cherries / Olson's Orchards, including its owners, employees, agents, and volunteers – from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death sustained during or as a result of participation in any experience selected above, whether caused by the negligence of any Released Party or otherwise.
5. Protective Equipment (Suited Experience). If I selected the Full Suited Hands-On Experience, I agree (and will ensure my child(ren) agree) to wear the provided bee suit, gloves, veil, and any additional protective equipment as directed by MNHCo staff at all times while in the bee yard. I understand that removing or improperly wearing protective equipment is at the participant's own risk and may result in bee stings.
6. Medical Authorization & Emergency Services. I authorize MNHCo to call 911 and/or secure emergency medical treatment on my behalf and on behalf of any child listed above if needed. I understand that MNHCo staff are not medical providers and do not carry medical supplies. I agree to be responsible for all costs of emergency medical treatment.
7. Rules & Instructions. I agree to follow (and ensure my child(ren) follow) all safety instructions given by MNHCo staff, including maintaining a safe distance from hives, moving slowly near bees, not swatting at bees, keeping any protective equipment on, and following the beekeeper's directions at all times. MNHCo may remove any participant who does not follow safety guidelines, without refund.
8. Parental Responsibility. If I have listed child(ren) in Section 2, I represent that I am the parent or legal guardian of each child listed and have full legal authority to sign on their behalf. I agree to supervise my child(ren) throughout the experience and accept full responsibility for their actions and safety.
9. Weather Cancellation. I understand experiences may be cancelled or rescheduled due to weather conditions or bee behavior. Rescheduling is provided at no additional cost.
10. California Law & Severability. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California; disputes shall be resolved in Santa Clara County, California. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
