What Our Customers Say

Honeycomb – honey the way the bees built it. Raw comb straight from the hive, wax cells intact, honey still sealed. This is the most unprocessed form of honey you can buy. Chew it, spread it, put it on a cheese board – the wax is edible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I eat the wax?

Yes – beeswax is completely edible. Chew it like gum, spread it on toast (wax and all), or cut a chunk for a cheese board. Some people eat it whole, some spit the wax out after chewing the honey out of the cells. Both are normal.

How do I store honeycomb?

Room temperature, in a sealed container. Honeycomb doesn't need refrigeration. Keep it dry – moisture is the only enemy.

Why is honeycomb more expensive?

Bees have to build the wax cells AND fill them with honey. It takes about 8 pounds of honey for bees to produce 1 pound of wax. Harvesting comb also means the bees have to rebuild, so we harvest sparingly.
