Bonny Doon Honey – Mountain Wildflower Honey
Raw, unfiltered honey from the Bonny Doon area high in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Elevation, marine influence, and wild terrain produce a honey with character you have to taste to believe.
What Makes Bonny Doon Honey Unique?
Bonny Doon is a small mountain community above Santa Cruz, perched between the Pacific coast and the redwood ridgeline. Our bees forage on mountain wildflowers, manzanita, coyote brush, Monterey pine, coastal chaparral, and the vineyards that have made Bonny Doon a quiet wine destination. The elevation and ocean fog create a microclimate that's nothing like the Valley floor.
The Place
- Bonny Doon – Unincorporated mountain community, Santa Cruz County
- Bonny Doon Vineyard – Iconic winery, part of the Santa Cruz Mountains wine scene
- Henry Cowell Redwoods – Ancient redwood groves nearby
- Bonny Doon Beach – Coastal access with native dune plants
Limited Mountain Production
Mountain honey is unpredictable – fog, wind, and elevation all affect the harvest. Bonny Doon honey is a limited, seasonal variety that captures a place most people drive through without stopping.
