Where does Mike & Niki's honey come from?

Every jar comes from our own apiaries across Silicon Valley – Campbell, San Jose, Santa Clara, Los Gatos, Sunnyvale, Half Moon Bay, Carneros, and more. Mike is our head beekeeper. We harvest, bottle, and label everything ourselves at our Campbell facility – the last farm in Campbell.

Does local honey actually help with allergies?

Raw local honey contains trace amounts of the same pollen your immune system reacts to. Many of our customers use a daily spoonful from their own zip code starting weeks before allergy season as part of their routine. We don't make medical claims, but 13 years of repeat customers tells us something.

What's the difference between varietal and wildflower honey?

Wildflower honey reflects whatever the bees foraged in a given season – a snapshot of that place and time. Varietal honey comes from apiaries placed near a dominant bloom: orange blossom, eucalyptus, sage. Different flavors, different bodies, different colors – same real honey.

Is your honey raw and unfiltered?

Yes. We don't pasteurize, we don't ultra-filter, and we don't blend with anything we didn't harvest. Just strained to remove wax and bee parts. That's why it crystallizes – real honey does.

Description

The foothills above Los Altos run thick with eucalyptus, lavender, and old-growth oaks. Mike's apiaries there catch what most people drive past without noticing – the hundred small gardens and the heritage trees that still line the streets. This honey is medium-bodied with a slightly herbal, almost mentholated edge from the eucalyptus. Pours a deep gold. Good on cheese, better on toast, best straight off the spoon.

We charge a flat rate of $5.99 shipping fee for all purchases under $50 sent to Continental US addresses.
For purchases $50 and over, and under 30 lb, shipping is free (Continental US only). For Alaska, Hawaii, and all other locations, please contact us for assistance

You will be emailed when your prepaid order is ready for pickup.

When will my order ship?

Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday. Orders placed after 1 p.m. PT are processed and shipped the next business day. Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday, or Public Holidays will be processed and shipped the next business day.

Returns

For the safety of all our customers, we do not accept returns on honey products. If an item is damaged during shipment, please get in touch with us for assistance.

Great honey!

This is the best local honey our whole family enjoys having everyday!!

fragrance too strong

It's pretty easy to apply to the skin (doens't take too much effort to rub it on), but I don't like the smell of the product at all. I would tolerate it if it were a natural smell of the beewax, but no, this is a perfumy kind of odor. And it's strong and lingering. I don't recommend it.
